Scheduling & Class Times
- Lessons are scheduled on a monthly basis. There will be no refunds or make-ups for cancellations. However, fees may be pro rated for partial months scheduled in advance.
Parents are required to schedule and cancel lessons for students under 18.
- In the event of extreme weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances affecting class scheduling, students will be notified and a make-up lesson will be offered. These cancellations will be at the Trainer’s discretion.
- Lessons begin and end promptly at the scheduled time, please be on time. Horses cannot be taken out prior to the start time of class or without the Trainer’s supervision.
Payment & Fees
- Payment is due at the time lessons are scheduled and must be received prior to the student’s first lesson of the month.
- If payment in full is not received prior to the 1st of the month, a $50 late fee will incur.
- Checks are to be made payable to Soaring Dreams Ranch LLC.
- Checks returned by the bank, for any reason, will incur a $25 fee and full payment (including fee) must be replaced within 7 days.
- Fees may be incurred for replacement costs of any lost or damaged equipment.
Ranch Safety
- The Trainer’s instructions must be followed at all times.
- 3-6yr Classes: Parents are to accompany their child at all times while outside of the arena to ensure their child’s safety around the horses. Students will be given instructions on horse safety but parents are responsible to help enforce these instructions with their children. Parents are required to wear closed-toe shoes.
- Students (regardless of age) are required to provide and wear a helmet at all times while mounted. Additionally, students are required to wear proper horseback riding attire (see the link for Lesson Attire).
- There is an observing area available to watch lessons. Anyone not in a class must remain in the observing area and be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please do not distract students or horses during the lesson.
- Students will not be monitored outside of their regularly scheduled lesson time and Soaring Dreams Ranch will not be liable or responsible for students’ safety before or after classes.
- Precautions need to be taken to avoid loud noises and rowdy behavior or anything that potentially could spook a horse. Strollers are not allowed at the ranch. Running and screaming are strictly prohibited at the ranch. Spectators and students may be asked to leave upon occurrence.
- Do not climb on the fences.
- Horses must not be fed by students or spectators.
- Children with lice will not be permitted to attend class. Lice can spread to the horses. Students must wait until full treatment of lice has been completed, and be free of nits, before returning to class.
- Do not bring pets to the ranch.
By signing below, I agree to abide by SDR Lesson & Ranch Policies and enforce them with my child and/or anyone who accompanies me to the ranch.
